It's not often that I'm willing myself to get to work early, but, yesterday morning I made it an acception!
Now, I'd heard snippets of the Henley by-election result from GMTV's gorgeous Penny Smith, as I was getting ready for work, and it sounded pretty good! Although, I didn't catch most of what she was saying. It was then I decided to catch the earlier bus to work so I could be alone and have a good hour to myself on my computer scanning the the various sites for the 'truthful' reports, before any of my work colleagues arrived, the telephones ringing and being mithered to death by our office cleaning lady yarn's about her cats kittens and her lazy bleeding window cleaner leaving smears!
The bus journey to work takes at least a hour, especially since all the roads between Leigh and Wigan now seem to be being dug up for the new gas pipeline running through the borough! By now, I was champing at the bit for news of our Timothy Rait's campaign, and there was no solace in the free 'Metro' newspaper, that you find strewned over the floor of our buses and trains and it pains me to lift this liberal and pro EU rag, yet, I still picked it up in the hope that they may have put a late edition out, alas.
Anyway, to while away the minutes of the journey I reach for the latest edition of the Voice of Freedom from my bag, and reading our monthly newspaper certainly made the journey to work a little more palatable.
On reaching work, shutters up, unlock the doors, kettle on, crumpets in the toaster, back up disk changed, computer on, waiting as it boots up, still booting, still booting....(C'mon you bleeder, I'm sure it never takes this long?) BNP icon clicked............ YES ! YES! YES! I do a celebratory run round the office, arms aloft, just has I would of done so after scoring one of my rare goals in the days as an defensive midfielder for our local pub football team (incidentally, the pub was owned by a very renowned ex-Liverpool player of the 70's who would turn out for us occasionally! But, that's another story.) and then I sit down out of breath and take in the result.......BNP beat Labour into fifth place!! A DEFEAT WITHOUT PRECEDENT FOR LABOUR! Labour have never before finished fifth in a by-election...... LOL! Such joy!
Well done Timothy Rait and all the teams who helped!
Oh! how those burnt crumpets of mine tasted so, so delicious with the English best butter dripping through the pores as I continued to read with glee the many reports of Labours laughable and humiliating demise and to heartwarmingly read of the British National Party's continuing rise.
Just out of curiosity, did anyone send our spiteful PM a copy of Identity or VoF for his first anniverary of his treasonous leadsership? It is something of 'paper' for a first anniversary is it not?
